Together they have experience working in tropical, sub-tropical, cool and cold temperate climates. They have worked and studied with many internationally renowned permaculture practitioners, including co-creator of the Permaculture concept, David Holmgren and pioneers Geoff Lawton, Robyn Francis and Robin Clayfield among many others.
With over a decade of experience, their teaching methodology and educational approach has been applied and developed in countries such as India, Ghana, Cambodia, Australia, France and throughout the UK, with their central theme being emancipatory education, and experiential learning.

Delicious Vegetarian Food
The Krishna Farm has been producing organic veggies since the 1980s and has therefore fantastic conditions to grow excellent produce. We grow as much of our own food as we can, and otherwise buy locally wherever possible.
We provide 3 delicious vegetarian meals every day, with lunches taking place at the Krishna Village community kitchen, and breakfast and dinners - mostly Indian style - served at the prasadam hall, next to the temple.
All our food is prasadam - sacred food prepared in a consciousness of loving service. Like in other cultures, we offer our food before we eat to say Grace and thank the Divine for the sun, the rain, and all the visible and invisible blessings necessary to co-create a delicious meal. Feel free to sing along with us, or just listen and enjoy...
The Krishna Farm
Nestled in the foothills of Mount Warning, in the heart of the Northern Rivers of New South Wales, the Hare Krishna Farm “New Govardhana” is a 1000 acre property with orchards, certified organicveggie gardens, cows, horses, streams and swimming holes in abundance.
New Govardhana serves as an ashram to a community of yogis who aspire to live according to their deepest vows and commitments on their path of service, spiritual contentment and happiness, Bhakti Yoga. Their service and dedication make this location a beautiful place of growth, healing and spiritual awakening. If you are interested, please come along and visit our beautiful Radha Govardhandhari temple.
The Krishna Village experience
As a permanent eco yoga community and retreat centre, we provide classes ongoingly for all guests, taught by a variety of teachers. On Mondays, we run an 11am Welcome Tour for all new arrivals and introduce you to our program and our way of life.

Many of them are the 'best of' parts of our Yoga Teacher Training curriculum, made available for all guests. For details, please have a look at our Activities overview.
“A beautiful example of living Permaculture”
“Laura, Fionn and family are a beautiful example of living Permaculture. When I met these guys I said to myself 'Dreams can come true!' - They gave up city life and found their place, living amongst nature, using the exact same principles they teach.
I find Laura And Fionn to be both inspirational and passionate teachers. With the vast amount of knowledge they endowed upon us I can now confidently go and apply the same principles at home and inspire friends and family to do the same.”
- Paul Watkins
“New admiration and awe-inspiring understanding”
“This course gave me a new admiration and awe-inspiring understanding of just how intelligent and unified mother nature truly is. Today's world seems out of control and disconnected from the wilderness. The problems seem complicated and almost too vast to comprehend. This course sheds new light on what these obstacles mean for our race and how we can implement change to rectify the global disillusion. Starting with ourselves.”
- Jean-Michel, Melbourne
“A Divine part of the world that I probably would not have discovered”
“I want to thank you guys soooo much for opening my eyes and allowing me to begin the journey of mistakes, boo boos, start overs, redesigns, happy places, balance, yield, sharing, latin ( god forbid!), integrating, learning, teaching and giving me the confidence to start. I think the most valuable lesson I will take with me is the observational skill set that I now possess when looking at nature. The ground cover, the understory, the treetops and all stacking in between. The sheltering, the successional behaviour. It’s something I can’t unlearn and it will always be with me. It’s a metaphor for architecture, relationships and our beloved nature. And you guys taught me that.
I also want to thank you for your compassion, sense of ridiculous and sense of humour. For showing me a Divine part of the world that I probably would not have discovered if not for doing this particular course with you guys. For teaching in a such a way that it didn’t actually matter whether I was from the same climate. We had Victorians, New South Welsh peeps, Kiwis, Tasmanians, Canadians, French, South Africans and Germans. And all of us walked away knowing that we could apply the principles in our home climate. Actually, any climate for that matter. And not just apply principles to nature, but apply them to ourselves… the humans… our lives on Earth… what a bloody gift!
Lastly, I want to thank you for your choice of venue. Krishna Village was awesome. I hired a camper van ( never done that before) pimped it up to look like a genie’s bottle and was incredibly happy to live in the van and absorb knowledge in such a bountiful and peaceful valley.”
- Bobby, Victoria
